XYY syndrome

XYY syndrome /eks′dob′əlwī′/ , the phenotypic manifestation of an extra Y chromosome, which tends to have a positive effect on height and may have a negative effect on mental and psychological development. However, the anomaly also occurs in normal males. See also trisomy.
