Waldeyer’s throat ring /wäl″dī·ərz/ [Heinrich W.G. von Waldeyer, German anatomist, 1836–1921; AS, hring] , the palatine, pharyngeal, and lingual tonsils that encircle the pharynx. Also called lymphoid ring, tonsillar ring.
