Virchow’s node

Virchow’s node /fir″shōz/ [Rudolf L.K. Virchow, German pathologist, 1821–1902] , a firm supraclavicular lymph node, particularly on the left side, that is so enlarged that it is palpable. Also called sentinel node, signal node.
