vena comitans

vena comitanspl. venae comites, one of the deep paired veins that accompany the smaller arteries on each side of the artery. The three vessels are wrapped together in one sheath. Some of the arteries accompanied by such venous pairs are the brachial, the ulnar, and the tibial.
