urinary output

urinary output, the total volume of urine excreted daily, normally between 700 and 2000 mL. The smaller number represents the minimum volume needed to excrete waste products. Various metabolic and renal diseases may increase or decrease urinary output. See also anuria, oliguria, polyuria.
