Toynbee test

Toynbee test /toin′bē/ [Joseph Toynbee] , performance of the Toynbee maneuver and monitoring of pressure changes in the middle ear. Subsequent middle ear negative pressure or negative pressure followed by ambient pressure usually indicates normal function of the auditory tube.
