total allergy syndrome

total allergy syndrome, a condition of hypersensitivity to a wide range of substances, including pesticides, insecticides, pharmaceutics, certain metals, and chemicals used in the manufacture of plastics and epoxy resins. Also called twentieth-century syndrome.
