Title

Title [L, titulus, title] , a section of the Social Security Act that provides for the establishment, funding, and regulation of a service to a specific segment of the population. Examples include Title XIX, which includes medical coverage under Medicaid, and Title X, which awards lump-sum grants for family planning programs.
