terazosin

terazosin /ter′əzō″sin/ , a drug approved for the treatment of benign prostatic hypertrophy. It acts by relaxing the smooth muscle fibers of the prostate through its alpha receptor blockage mechanisms. It is also used alone or in combination for the treatment of hypertension.
