taeniasis

taeniasis /tēnī″əsis/ [Gk, tainia + osis, condition] , an infection with a tapeworm of the genus Taenia. Transmission is through ingestion of undercooked pork containing cysticercus or food contaminated with pig feces containing eggs. See also tapeworm infection.
