symptomatic esophageal peristalsis

symptomatic esophageal peristalsis, a condition in which peristaltic progression in the body of the esophagus is normal but contractions in the distal esophagus are increased in amplitude and duration. Also called esophageal peristalsis, nutcracker esophagus.
