symphocephalus

symphocephalus /sim′fōsef″ələs/ [Gk, symphes, growing together, kephale, head] , twin fetuses joined at the head. The term is often used as a general designation for fetuses with varying degrees of the anomaly. See also craniopagus, syncephalus.
