sulfadoxine

sulfadoxine /sul″fah-dok′sēn/ , a long-acting sulfonamide used in combination with pyrimethamine in the prophylaxis and treatment of malaria caused by chloroquine-resistant strains of Plasmodium falciparum. See also antimalarial.
