single-chain antigen-binding (SCAB) protein

single-chain antigen-binding (SCAB) protein, a polypeptide that joins an antibody’s light chain variable region to the antibody heavy chain variable region. SCABs are used as biosensors, in chemical separations, and in the treatment of cancers and heart disease.
