Sertoli cell

Sertoli cell /sertō″lē/ [Enrico Sertoli, Italian histologist, 1842–1910; L, cella, storeroom] , one of the supporting elongated cells of the seminiferous tubules of the testes. It functions to nourish the developing spermatocytes.
