senopia

senopia /senō″pē·ə/ [L, senex, old man, opsis, vision] , an improvement in the near vision of the aged caused by the myopia associated with increasing lenticular nuclear sclerosis. This type of sclerosis commonly leads to the development of nuclear cataracts. Also called genontopia, second sight.
