scanography

scanography /skanog″rəfē/ [L, scandere, to climb; Gk, graphein, to record] , a method of producing a radiograph of an internal body organ or structure by using a series of parallel beams that eliminate size distortion. The technique is applied most in long-bone radiography. See also orthoroentgenography.
