Romberg sign

Romberg sign /rom″bərg/ [Moritz H. Romberg, German physician, 1795–1873; L, signum, mark] , an indication of loss of the sense of position in which the patient loses balance when standing erect, feet together, and eyes closed. Also called Romberg test.
