rheumatic arteritis

rheumatic arteritis, a complication of rheumatic fever characterized by generalized inflammation of arteries and arterioles. Fibrin mixed with cellular debris may invade, thicken, and stiffen vessel walls, and the affected vessels may be surrounded by hemorrhage and exudate.
