retroclusion

retroclusion /ret′roklo̅o̅″zhən/ , a method of controlling hemorrhage from an artery by compressing it between tissues on either side. A needle is inserted through the tissues above the bleeding vessel, then turned around and down so that it also passes through the tissues beneath the artery.
