removable lingual arch /rimo̅o̅″vəbəl/ [L, removere, to remove] , an orthodontic arch wire designed to fit the lingual surface of the teeth and aid their orthodontic movement. Two posts soldered to each end of the wire fit snugly into the vertical tubes of molar anchor bands.
