reactive hypoglycemia

reactive hypoglycemia, low levels of glucose in the circulating blood (45 to 50 mg/dL) in an arterialized specimen after ingestion of carbohydrates. Patients who have had stomach surgery, causing food to travel quickly into the intestine, frequently experience this symptom.
