postcentral gyrus

postcentral gyrus /-sen′trəl/ [L, post, after; Gk, kentron, center, gyros, turn] , a convolution of the brain immediately posterior to the central sulcus of the cerebrum. It is the location of the sensory strip for the contralateral side of the body.
