photochemotherapy

photochemotherapy /-kē′mōther″əpē/ [Gk, phos + chemeia, alchemy, therapeia, treatment] , a kind of chemotherapy in which the effect of the administered drug is enhanced by exposing the patient to light. Also called photodynamic therapy. See also chemotherapy.
