Pellegrini’s disease

Pellegrini’s disease /pel′əgrē″nēz/ [Augusto Pellegrini, Italian surgeon, b. 1877] , ossification of the upper part of the medial collateral ligament, sometimes accompanied by bony growth at the internal condyle of the femur. The condition usually follows a leg injury. Also called Pelligrini-Stieda disease.
