nasomental reflex /-men″təl/ [L, nasus, nose, mentum, chin, reflectere, to bend back] , a reflex elicited by tapping the side of the nose, thereby causing contraction of the mentalis muscle with elevation of the lower lip and wrinkling of the skin of the chin.
