myogelosis /mī′ōjəlō″sis/ [Gk, mys + L, gelare, to freeze; Gk, osis] , a condition in which there are hardened areas or nodules within muscles, especially the gluteal muscles. There are no serious consequences of this condition, and no treatment is necessary.
