microfilm

microfilm /mī″krəfilm/ , a strip of 16-mm or 35-mm film that contains photographic reproductions of pages of books, documents, or other library or medical records in greatly reduced size. The film is viewed through a machine that enlarges the photographic images to normal reading size.
