microalbumin test

microalbumin test, a urine test to detect a greater than normal albumin concentration in the blood, an early indication of renal disease. Microalbuminuria is indicative of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, nephropathy, urinary bleeding, hemoglobinuria, or myoglobinuria.
