maxillofacial syndrome

maxillofacial syndrome, a congenital defect of fetal ossification characterized by anteroposterior shortening of the maxilla and various other anomalies, including mandibular prognathism, slanting of the eyes, and malformation of the auricles. Also called maxillofacial dysostosis.
