Marie’s hypertrophy

Marie’s hypertrophy [Pierre Marie, French neurologist, 1853–1940; Gk, hyper, excess, trophe, nourishment] , chronic enlargement of the joints caused by periostitis. It may be associated with lung cancer. Also called hypertrophic pulmonary osteopathy.
