lysozyme

lysozyme /lī″səzīm/ [Gk, lysein + en, within, zyme, ferment] , an enzyme with antiseptic actions that destroys some foreign organisms. It is found in granulocytic and monocytic blood cells and is normally present in saliva, sweat, breast milk, and tears.
