Lucio’s leprosy phenomenon

Lucio’s leprosy phenomenon [R. Lucio, Mexican physician, 1819–1866] , an acute form of diffuse lepromatous infection of the skin, characterized by intensely red, tender plaques, particularly on the legs. The plaques tend to progress to obstructive vasculitis, ulcers, necrosis, and scarring.
