livedo

livedo /livē″dō/ [L, liveo, bluish spot] , a blue or reddish mottling of the skin that worsens in cold weather and is probably caused by arteriolar spasm. Cutis marmorata is a transient form of livedo. See also livedo reticularis, cutis marmorata.
