Laurence-Moon syndrome /lô′rəns mo̅o̅n/ [John Zachariah Laurence, British ophthalmologist, 1829-1870; Robert C. Moon, American ophthalmologist, 1844–1914] , an autosomal-recessive disorder characterized by cognitive impairments, pigmentary retinopathy, hypogonadism, and spastic paraplegia.
