lacus lacrimalis /lā″kəs lak′rimā″ləs/ [L, lacus, lake, lacrimalis, tears] , a triangular space separating the medial ends of the upper and the lower eyelids at the inner canthus where the tears collect. It is an extension of the medial canthus and contains the lacrimal caruncle.
