hyperlipemia /-lipē″mē·ə/ , cloudy or opaque plasma caused by fat particles called chylomicrons seen subsequent to a fat-laden meal caused by a lipoprotein lipase deficiency or a defect in the conversion of low-density lipoprotein to high-density lipoprotein.
