hyperglyceridemia

hyperglyceridemia /-glī′səridē″mē·ə/ [Gk, hyper + glykys + haima, blood] , an excess of glycerides, particularly triglycerides, in the blood. It is caused by a congenital defect in the ability to metabolize the amino acid glycine.
