hydrofluoric acid

hydrofluoric acid /hī′drōflo͝or′ik/ , a term applied to aqueous solutions of hydrogen fluoride, an organic acid used in dilute solutions for cleaning and etching. It is extremely poisonous, as well as corrosive to the skin.
