Heinz bodies

Heinz bodies /hīnts/ [Robert Heinz, German pathologist, 1865–1924] , irregularly shaped bits of altered hemoglobin found in the red blood cells of people who are hypersensitive to certain chemicals, such as aniline, phenylhydrazine, and primaquine.
