gonion /gō′nē·on/ [Gk, gonia, angle] , an anthropometric landmark located at the most inferior, posterior, and lateral point on the external angle of the mandible, being the apex of the maximum curvature of the mandible, where the ascending ramus becomes the body of the mandible.
