glaucomatous halo /glôkom″ətəs/ , 1. an illusion of a circle of brightness surrounding a light, observed by patients with acute glaucoma, which is caused by edema of the corneal epithelium. 2. a yellowish white ring surrounding the optic disc, a sign of atrophy of the choroid in glaucoma.
