gastrectasia

gastrectasia /gas′trektā″zhə/ [Gk, gaster, stomach, ektasis, stretching] , an abnormal dilation of the stomach that may be accompanied by pain, vomiting, rapid pulse, and falling body temperature. Causes include overeating, obstruction of the pyloric valve, or a hernia.
