gabapentin

gabapentin /gab″äpen′tin/ , an anticonvulsant chemically related to alpha-aminobutyric acid. It is administered orally and used in the treatment of partial seizures and chronic neuropathic pain. In veterinary medicine, gabapentin is being used to treat anxiety and phobic disorders in dogs and cats.
