FVIII

FVIII, a large glycoprotein containing more than 2300 amino acids, 24 cysteine residues, and 25 potential glycosylation sites. The factor is used to treat blood-clotting disorders, such as hemophilia A, in which the factor is deficient or missing. Also called recombinant factor VIII concentrate.
