CONTRAINDICATIONS: Myasthenia gravis, use of a monoamine oxidase inhibitor within 14 days, or known hypersensitivity to this drug prohibits its use.
ADVERSE EFFECTS: Among the more serious adverse effects are drug dependence, hypotension, pruritus, respiratory depression, and laryngospasm.
