exudate

exudate /eks″yo͝odāt/ [L, exsudare, to sweat out] , fluid, cells, or other substances that have been slowly exuded, or discharged, from cells or blood vessels through small pores or breaks in cell membranes. Perspiration, pus, and serum are sometimes identified as exudates.
