extradural anesthesia

extradural anesthesia, anesthetic nerve block achieved by the injection of a local anesthetic solution into the space in the spinal canal outside the dura mater of the spinal cord. Kinds include caudal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia/analgesia, paravertebral block.
