DNA polymerase

DNA polymerase, (in molecular genetics) an enzyme that catalyzes the assembly of deoxyribonucleoside triphosphates into deoxyribonucleic acid, with single-stranded DNA serving as the template. The enzyme is often found in tumor cells. Also called DNA nucleotidyltransferase.
