diadochokinesia

diadochokinesia /dī·ad′əkōkīnē″zhə/ [Gk, diadochos, successor, kinesis, motion] , the normal ability of the muscles to move a limb alternately in opposite directions by flexion and extension. It is tested by asking the client to supinate and pronate the hands quickly and rhythmically.
